Remij 4,717
It's incredible just how expressive every animation in this game is. This is Nintendo's best work yet. You can literally watch any video about the game and see what I'm talking about. There's so many subtle animations that you might not even notice at first.. but they're there. When You're not bogged down by shitty open world design, collectathons and checklist gameplay, every area can be handcrafted like in LM3. World class experience. jehurey 3,299
Its probably Nintendo supporting Next Level Games in Canada. They've made some sharp looking games before. Mario Strikers, the Punch-Out game for the Wii has some fantastic cartooney animations. And they got practice with a Luigi's Mansion 2 for the 3DS. It just goes to show that Nintendo's high-quality and support rubs off on studios outside of their headquarters. They probably don't force deadlines and try to have games developed as cheap as possible, and they probably review their progress closely throughout development. Turns an average developer into a legitimately solid developer.

The Wiki says Nintendo of Japan did supervise them with LM3. They also did Dark Moon for the 3DS, which, despite being a so-so game.. also looked pretty nice and had great animation. Their work here though is above and beyond. Obviously the hardware is more capable.. but yea.. I hope Nintendo continues to work with them and build them up because they could legitimately become a top studio for Nintendo imo.
