Voidler 1,675 Posted June 18, 2020 Share Posted June 18, 2020 Personally I think character models aren't going to improve significantly because graphics of the character models are way ahead of the rest of the visuals. There's some obvious improvement there but not huge. We are now zooming into hair follicles to find an improvement I'm looking much more at seeing improvements to environment graphics, lighting, animation. Things like dynamic clothes and hair physics finally. Plus advancements in AI and physics in gameplay now that the CPU isn't trash Eg there's not much improvement left in this: But there is a heap of improvement to make in this: The most impressive part of the Horizon 2 trailer were the environments Quote Link to post Share on other sites

You're going to have far better shaders and more accurate lighting and detail. But yea, it would be a BIG help if the rest of the environments and models got the same love and care that character models do. The whole bar should be raised. And these are early days yet. Lots of new technologies are in RDNA2 and even Zen 2, so we're not even close to seeing what these consoles will be capable of IMO. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
