I can play God of War Ragnarok on my Steam Deck anywhere in the house. I think Stadia actually approached streaming in a good way. The problem is they went from a proof of concept to a "console launch" before building a 1st party publisher. Launching without a big exclusive is the kiss of death for any platform. MS is pushing the whole cloud shit because they are getting their asses handed to them by Sony and Nintendo and need a distraction. In the leaked court documents they even admit that cloud gaming isn't ready for primetime. Sure uncompressed looks better, but it’s diminishing returns. I edit 5,6 and even 8K raw video, and the clips still look amazing when compressed to a H264 (or 265) codec.
