Black man, who shot white 6-year-old neighbor and her parents (in the back) in North Carolina, has been apprehended in Florida

  • Tears of the Cows changed the title to Black man, who shot white 6-year-old neighbor and her parents (in the back) in North Carolina, has been apprehended in Florida

Literally the front page. One article mentions white on black crime. The headline simply omits any talk of race. In reality, both should not talk about race. We’re all people… and they’re playing us all for clicks.

Theres been a lot of these rage shootings lately.

The kid that got shot for ringing the wrong doorbell

The cheerleaders that were shot for getting in the wrong car

The young woman shot for turning her car around in someone's driveway  (dead)

Yet the only ones that mention race are white on black crime. I’d love to hear your thoughts, @Goukosan and @Mr. Impossible. None of these stories should be racially driven.

No, they don’t. That’s the number one reason, outside of geography, that America is uninvadvable.

America is uninvadable  because of its military. Civilians on the other hand, have no reason to carry guns. The second amendment is seriously outdated

No, not necessarily true. A country wide emp would knock out most communications. There are roughly 400 million gun owners in America. This is larger than every army in the world combined. That is why America is not able to ever be invaded.

you take away guns, mass stabbing would happen. Nothing would really change.

the 2nd amendment meant less than it does now. It’s the opposite of outdated. The few that push a bad agenda represent 2% of gun owners.

if 2% of trans people commit murder, do you want to ban them?

Well, 400 million registered guns in America.

doing my own research (i.e. asking chatgpt) there's no registry for gun owners so it's only estimated that there are about 120.5million of them. Or 36% of the population, or 1 out of every 3.

Also found out at the time the second amendment was written, America did not have a military, and had to depend on a "well regulated militia" of citizens, to protect the country from invasion.

Nowadays people who defend their rights to own guns, claim it's always for "self defense" against each other, and against the government, basically creating a bunch of paranoid consumers giving gun businesses (manufacturers, distributors, retailers) a lot of money to "protect" themselves... eventually.

There is no threat that you need a gun to self defend yourself from. You are not a gangster. Call the police...

so I repeat, guns (those that are obviously not for hunting) should be banned.

2% (if not less) gun registered gun owners have committed crimes relating to guns. That’s less than gays in America. Should we ban anything that represents 2% of.. anything?

FIrearms related deaths were the 11th leading cause of death to Americans in 2019. The top ten preceeding it? Diseases, Covid, and unintentional injuries like car accidents or falling. In other words, if someone dies in the US, it's either nature, accident, or a gun.

400,000,000 guns and 20,000 deaths last year

.00005 ratio

Hey guys, we have more guns than actual people in this country, the developed world's highest gun death rate, and we are the only country where guns are one of the leading causes of death for children, but dat low ratio tho!
