Because literally nobody else is doing anything with the tech on PC Not even Valve, the studio that literally was selling a Half Life sequel in conjunction with new GPU tech 20 years ago, can't get off their fat greedy ass to update Half Life for ray tracing, so nvidia had to pay modders to do it for them. What a sad state for the PC industry, and obviously just how competent CDProjekt Red looks compared to all other pc-centric developers, which there are barely any. TBH i cant tell a huge difference between 1080 and 1440. I see it but after a few minutes its whatever.
