If it were that simple, then how come most of the games don't support it right out of the gate. Improvements like this will always require patching, extra resources. PS5 to PS5 Pro with dedicated work to optimize will literally have patches and 8000 PS4 and PS5 games will run on PS5 Pro without any patches and should still benefit from the better hardware.
