Why would this indicate removal of a paywall? They merged gold & game pass to make ultimate, and don’t want to discount it, so they’ll stop selling XBL Gold for $60 a year and rather $120 a year by forcing people to pay monthly. Then you compare the $120 vs $150 and realize you might as well spend the $150. Paywalls are staying, Microsoft is discretely trying to up the price.
