:D Yeah that dungeon was such a slog to get through. I almost wasn't sure I wanted to keep playing it at that point either. Its such a shame because most of the other dungeons were pretty well paced.

I thought almost all of them in the last 3/4 were badly paced. That one that looks chinese with the conveyers was also trash lmfao I know i said I vastly prefer dungeons that focus on combat, but this is way too much. It's just non stop room after room with multiple waves of hard damage sponge enemies. Enemy variety sucked too which made it feel even more shitty. How many times was that other with the valve that makes that squeeking sound and shoots rain used? good grief

just finished. Huge MEH. I thought the 2nd half was going to be better with the revelations but it just gets so overly retarded and melodramatic. Some ok story moments.

Combat was decent enough though, probably why i finished it.

Now on to TWEWY Neo and Ace Atorney chronicles :smoke:

  2. God Scarlet Nexus becomes so fucking bad. This shit is some straight up ass doo doo. It’s like eating some late night Taco Bell, decent at first but now I’m at the part where it’s 4am with heartburn and explosive diarrhea. I’m on Dominion Circus boss? Complete dookuan. I’d say the last 3/4 of this game has been some of the most lazy and poorly designed shit I’ve played in a long time. That dungeon on chapter 10 wtf even was that shite or that horizontal running section. This the gaming equivalent of popov vodka or some bottom shelf shit that comes in like a big jug for like 10 bucks

I’ll finish it up tomorrow so I can move on to TWEWY neo. I’ve made it this far I might as well see the ending

    ^Yeah its been a while

BTW, just a FYI but some people managed to finish the game and apparently the framerate gets really rough in the Switch version (both docked and in handheld mode) so it seems that the PS4 version might be the one to get.

The fact that you think this was ever even a debate is baffling :ben:

The impressions I’ve read have been absolutely glowing. I think we may be looking at an 85+ metacritic

Looks ridiculously cool and weird as expected :smoke:

You should really play it. Story and characters are top notch and you will feel right at home if you like the Yakuza games.

How similar is it to the Yakuza games? I've played and beat almost all of them. I even own Fist of the north star: Lost paradise which is literally Yakuza reskinned. Does it do enough to differentiate?

It just went on sale the PS5 version and I'm thinking on giving it a whirl :smoke:

hmm i think my team was bond level 2 by that point, but i was on the kasane path. I think that might just be gated by story progress? Not entirely sure.

But yeah theres loads of anime style melodrama for sure....the twists are so ridiculous that they're entertaining just based on all the weird ideas they came up with :lul:

    lmfao

I say I'm all for it. Between that and a standard story of kids in an army battling monsters and defending the country I'll take any weird ideas they have. It's working on me so far :mjcry:

So SE messed up and accidentally sent codes to a bunch of people who pre-ordered from their site :ben: so a bunch of people have been already playing it, and the general consensus is that its really good, so thats good to hear.

    :smoke:

Can't believe it's been 14 years since the release of the original :ben:

  7. @Twinblade

is there something I’m missing in regards to group bond level? I’m on phase 8 and my party are still on lvl 1 group bond even though individually they’re like at lvl 3-4. I’ve done all the bonding episodes possible and even bought them several gifts.

Since I wasn’t really feeling the story, this shift in the 2nd half I feel like it’s sort of made it more interesting and I’m actually paying attention in cutscenes again rather than drifting in and out.

Maybr it’s just me but I’m so sick of this animu cliche where when the main characters learn of new information that twist the story, they start going on about how it’s so unbelievable and how no one is going to believe them, you know, because just about everything about the characters, their powers, the history and world they live in and everything they’ve witnessed is all just normal weekday. This though, they can’t grasp their minds on this. :ben:
