hmm interesting, I haven't encountered any of those dungeons i think. But yeah its a JRPG so you can expect the climax to just be a shitload of bosses one right after the other :ben:

    mini spoiler but

Im not sure how Dili is playing but the implication is that it would take him ~100 hours to finish the game, which doesn't line up at all with my experience. I just finished the second of the game's 4 total dungeons just under 26 hours, and thats having completed most of the side quests + fully exploring the environments. At this rate I would expect to finish the game in the 50-60 hour mark and thats with doing most of the optional stuff.

Yeah i think I'm horribly wrong.

I'm doing everything, but if theres only 4 real dungeons than i might be near the end then? I was basing this by looking at the story boss list and noticing I've done about 60-70 percent of the story bosses where I'm at but then near the end I'm guessing they're going to throw multiple bosses after another if thats the case.

Also theres more than 4 dungeons. Theres 4 real ones, but i know theres been at least 2 medium sized dungeons

Game is pretty great. Been blasting through it over the last few days and I’ve managed to avoid wimping out and dropping the difficulty to easy. It’s hard and unforgiving but manageable as long as you make the most out of the game’s systems. You also have to make it a habit to save constantly. A normal enemy encounter can go downhill in an instant and before you know it you’re starting at the main menu screen. I pretty much spend a lot of time sprinting back and forth between save points every time I do something as trivial as open a chest or win a battle where someone levels up :D

It also has surprisingly wide open environments that encourage exploration, much more so than SMT4. Combat and dungeon crawling is the bread and butter of the game but it does break things up a bit.

The anime story is entertaining enough even if it’s nothing to write home about. The beginning of the game was actually the part of it most devoid of story, there’s a period of 8-10 hours where almost nothing happens. The pacing since then has been much better thankfully.

Which dungeon are you up to? The game seems like it’s fucking long. I’m about 50 hrs in and I think I’m half way or a little more than that.

its not just bad, its low effort. 2&3 were bad but not low effort. they still had decent action, visuals, music, and ambition. like with reloaded, they had a 1v100 fight and built their own freeway for a chase scene. this is just cheaper/lower tier in every category, like a streaming movie.

Pretty much. Theres this scene with store-brand wal-mart version of morpheus and agent smith fighting and i honestly couldn't believe how much it felt like i was watching a crappy low budget TV adaptation of The matrix. The visuals, action, acting was hilariously bad.

Playing games directly from the Oculus Quest 2. It's like playing some 2006 PSP games in VR. haha

Sniper Elite VR is fun. The aiming/reloading mechanics works well but it's really ugly, it's practically undistinguishable from it's PC counterpart. It looks like some old Medal of Honor game running on PS2.

Demeo is an awesome tabletop RPG and it actually looks nice on Oculus. I wished it was higher res but the game visual style translate itself well with the weaker hard. It's actually pretty awesome as a portable handheld VR game. Perfect game for the Oculus, imo.

Ven VR Adventure. Kinda meh third person platformer. Despite the charming third person view it looks meh due the somewhat low resolution, muddy textures and ugly 2d backgrounds. This is no Astro Bot to say the least, I love games like this in VR but this one is bargain bin territory. Running the game with the non locked camera behind the character (my favorite way to play) severely dropped the framerates, I don't even understand why the feature is there, the hardware can't handle it.

Blade and Sorcery Nomad, my god, this is early, early access territory. The framerates is particularly bad. If I was on steam I would have asked for a refund.

DEMEO is fucking great. Loved that game especially in coop

  6. While the local SW Qanon fagots were lining up in Dallas for JFK's return (LMFAO:will:)  this week they missed out on the news of 3 of their fellow members and grand wizard all be found guilty for murder

  7. Game is pretty damn awesome not gonna lie. I’m somewhat disappointed how safe the combat is, but in terms of dungeons/exploration and qol fixes to the SMT/Persona formula, it’s by far the best it’s ever been.

Im about 10 hours in so far and in terms of story it’s what I expected and wanted. 80/20 in favor of gameplay with a story that’s intriguing but it’s definitely secondary focus to the actual exploration and gameplay.
