I dunno man, coming from the Switch the sudden testosterone boost from owning an Xbox might be too much for you. Combine that with the shock of getting a controller with an actual D-pad...

Halo is Anglo.

yea I think that's actually the smarter play.  im browsing craigslist now

For that price I'd just get the X, I mean it's only $13 more a month and you get a hell of a better console out of the deal.

I don't own a 4k display. I play all my games at a desk and I don't find it worth it.

what other reason would I want the X for? (honest question, not being rhetorical)

Well it depends on if you're going to eventually get one. Also the X can natively output at 1080p and 1440p so I don't know what you use for a display but it will downsample for both drastically increasing IQ. Plus there's the other obvious benefits, higher resolution textures, higher graphical configurations, better framerates, 60 FPS in some games etc.

It's up to you and your display but it's not a bad idea to be future conscious if you did plan on getting a higher resolution display eventually.

I'd advise you to ease up on the transition and wait for that GTAV port on Switch first, see if you can handle that then take the next step.

Just grab a starter bundle and extend your subscriptions around Black Friday if you're still using the subs. Locking into two years of Gold/Game Pass at MSRP when you're not even sure you want the console seems like a silly thing to do.
