"CD3 joins the list of games which haven't released yet but will be available at XboxFanFest"

Man.. I hope it's been improved and turns out great for them.  They really need a string of wins instead of good news/bad news...

A beta announcement to try very soon would be a nice touch as well.

:mroff: Still talking about this piece of shit game 5 years later. All this time and effort for a patented Microdick 6.0-7.0 generic ass western game from a C-rate studio.

Do I remember some news about developers leaving this project? Specifically David Jones, the guy that was behind Crackdown 1 and the original GTA series?

It was a complicated situation due to the acquisition of his company by Epic, this all took place late in the games development so I doubt there were any effects to his departure.

Doesn't seem complicated. It just seems that Microsoft is abandoning the core things they were trying to sell Crackdown 3 to begin with:

Crackdown series creator David Jones has shed some light on what it means for the long-delayed third entry to the franchise following Epic Games' acquisition of Cloudgine.

Speculation abound following the news that Cloudgine, which provided cornerstone technology for the game's ambitious multiplayer destruction mode, had been sold and Jones would be leaving the Crackdown series along with it.

Rumours only worsened when Microsoft Studios head Matt Booty refused to confirm or deny the continued role of Cloudgine's tech in Crackdown 3.

"You know, I'm not going to get into the actual technical breakdown," he told Polygon during E3 this year. "Let's just say that we've got access to a great infrastructure, and the game's got some great tech in it, and we're going to put those two together in the way that makes the most sense."

1.) Cloud engine physics

2.) David Jones, the person that is behind Crackdown 1, who wasn't there for the shitty Crackdown 2, was coming back for Crackdown 3.

Looks like MS has failed on both of those counts. This game is nothing. It truly is a nothing game being developed by nobodies.

straight-to-dvd gaming. keep it. i rather just collect the orbs in 1 (since the campaign was awful)

Exactly. Microsoft has it being developed by the side team of a studio that is known for racing games.

.............in which nobody likes driving the car in Crackdown games, because that's not the main point of the gameplay.  This is an automatic fail, all-around.

Wow..............a STORE PAGE!!!!

And not obvious confirmed facts that Microsoft has, indeed, left Cloudgine because it was purchased by Epic Games.

Nevermind that...............let's refer to the STORE PAGE!!!

Where is it stated ANYWHERE that Cloudgine's technology is no longer handling the multiplayer destruction physics? Where is it stated that their work on the game is incomplete? Their involvement could have been a wrap a long time ago, you don't use your brain to tackle what are simple observations to anyone else. The fact that the store page still reflects what they've stated all along even after the acquisition of Cloudgine says it all.

You're on drugs.
