It's a pity a dual system setup with a portable and handheld dedicated system wouldn't work for Nintendo. A high powered home system, with a portable only solution that play the same games from the same cart.

 

The whole appeal of the Switch is it's dual function. I wish we'd get a dual system setup instead of a hybrid, ohh well.

Not really.  All tech shrinks as it improves.  We're getting very close to the point where consoles won't need to be large boxes under your television to run games like RDR2.  Once you can get that sort of game in a handheld that attaches to your TV, what's the point of owning a set-top console?
