From March 2017 through Dec 2019, Switch total hardware sales is higher than any other console.  So you could say since Switch launched until now, more people cared to purchase a Switch than any other system

It just doesn't work, and is flawed, because how people feel about a PS4 during its hotter years (2016/2017) doesn't compensate for 2019.
