Microsoft kind of forced their hand, they have to communicate what their console is and their plans with it.

Lol this was supposed to be Sony’s presentation at GDC.

I doubt we'll see the box itself.

Yea, it's doubtful.

It's good though.  Talk all the spec talk right now, and then have an event where you reveal the console itself and games.  Still leaves something to surprise people with.

They could've easily delayed any announcement, if they wanted to.

Hell, this isn't even an announcement through WIRED, like the previous hardware info they've released. This is an in-house presentation.

They wouldn't be doing this so quickly if they didn't feel confident about what they had to show.

They just had MS announce their specs and now Sony is making an announcement shortly after? Yeah, Sony has something to show confidently.

It was supposed to happen at GDC regardless.  I don't think this changes anything about their confidence.  Just a reworking of schedule and probably to take the wind out of MS' sails and dominate the news cycles for a bit.

If Sony pushed the clock speed using HBM and DDR4.... That's going to be interesting to see. 24 gigs total. 8 gigs GPU ram of HBM Vs MS's 10 gigs of GPU ram.

You're dreaming lol

The GDC and other events being canceled forced their hand.... not Microsoft.

Dynamite seems to assume MS and Sony are constantly reacting to each other, rather than both having a coherent internal strategy planned out years in advance.

Well we know for a fact that Sony is reacting to MS, because they actually said they were waiting to see what their competitors were doing with regards to pricing ect.

It's just as likely however that MS caught wind of what Sony was planning and tried getting out ahead of them.

It could be literally anything.  Who really cares at this point.  The info is coming tomorrow. :whew:

all this talk and yet sony already won next gen by providing exclusive games again.

stores in europe learned from last gen, they will never stock up on xbox consoles ever again, it's not worth it.
