Halo Infinite demo was running on a PC "as powerful as XSeX"

They've already confirmed the demo is an old build running on PC. Do you remember what happened with Gears of War 4? People freaked out when they saw the multiplayer beta and within just a few short months it looked radically different.

You're going with the old build excuse? :ANYWORD:

So they ran this max'd out on Kaz' PC?

The very first scene

Lemmings elsewhere were creating the narrative that the build was 6 months old, but no one ever confirmed nor understood where that came from. That's how bad of a showing Halo Infinite had. :mj: If this build is even a few months old then they only have a few more months to polish this turd. With ray-tracing getting some post launch patch the game is being rushed to hell. :D Seeing that this game has semi-GaaS like features we may be looking at another Master Chief Collection faceplant.

I'm going with what they directly confirmed.

How about not being such an idiot for 5 minutes and at least try to research something before you respond.

You keep setting yourself up for disappointment.   Halo Infinite is a last gen game that is cross gen.   The sooner you realize and accept this the less disappointed you will be in the graphics

5 years in development their premiere franchise for their new console launch, and they showed an old build. Anyone seriously believe this?

Nope. This build is a 2020 build for sure. How old? Who knows. The game is being rushed for Series X launch no doubt. No ray-tracing, looks like shit, Slipspace is a mistake, gameplay looks boring and old. This is pretty disastrous.

The two don't seem to intersect at all, it's not being created as some kind of joint venture and melding of multiple projects. There's no connection to The Master Chief Collection and this in terms of design ethos. Infinite is intended to serve as a platform, no sequels required, they can merely build upon it over time expanding it as a game.

No, but every team (art, programming, etc.) within a studio have to come together as if it were multiple projects and managed properly. We already know the creative director quit so that no doubt put a wrench into things.

Honestly a game like Halo should pull through on visuals on budget alone.

You would think so, but the reality is if your studio is run like shit and has no vision or is creatively bankrupt its hard to get passionate about your project... and instead it just becomes "a job" to people with low morale.

Like I said I'm going to be kind of standoffish before eating them alive, this wasn't a great showing but that doesn't mean it's indicative of the game. They made a poor choice, as more is shown we'll get a better picture of what we're dealing with here.

Its coming in 4 months. There really isn't much to "show" Since there is no time And they confirmed they won't be fighting a beta pre launch.
