Its obvious that he was trying to plead with conservative voters, because he saw that the Democratic counties were clearly showing up. Gabriel Sterling, as great of a speech that he gave yesterday, and he deserves to be complimented and applauded for his integrity and passion with what he said, he's still a Republican.
