Yeah has a story but that isn't it's main focus. But at the same time is also isn't an always online world like Destiny/Division. Think of it as a middle ground between old school coop shooters and modern GAAS type games. So has the loot based shooter mechanics but is a campaign type story, I've needed a new coop game and we enjoyed the demo.
