That's physical sales, physical sales have never been more irrelevant not to mention Xbox is rapidly becoming a digital only platform.

 

Digital is even further more accelerated by the fact that we're in a pandemic. Posting this without the other piece of the pie is absolutely worthless data.

You do know that the UK chart adds the digital sales a week later right? and guess what 100% of the time the Xbox version sells the least amount. 

 

Same with NPD... digital is included yet Xbox software sales are terrible. 

 

Let's use Monster Hunter World as an example.   The game has sold 17 million WW.... only 1 million plus were sold on Xbox as per Capcom's internal documents 

 

 

Your fantasy that Xbox digital pushes Xbox game sales past other versions of games is not based on reality.

Digital sales would not scale things in favor of Xbox by any significant margin. Most Playstation owners also buy digitally, the adoption rate is probably roughly the same on both ecosystems. So with that said, physical sales is a good indication of what the digital landscapes looks like. If a game sells 4:1 in favor of Playstation, the digitals sales would also look the same.

 

Or do you have proof that somehow Xbox owners are significantly buying more digital games, enough to actually tip things in favor of Xbox?

Xbox owners buy a higher percentage of digital games on their platform....he thinks that means that they actually purchase more games digitally.   

 

What he doesn't realize is that 60% of 10 copies only means 6 copies were sold.  40% of 400 is 40 copies sold.   He sees the 60% of a smaller number and thinks it's higher than 40% of a much bigger number 😂🤣
