Why is Twitter trying so hard to prevent Elon Musk from taking it over?

He just took it up a notch instead of banning regular people.. He is banning Journalists.. Specifically left leaning that critiqued him at one point or another. 

 

 

 

Apparently those accounts were sharing flight trackers showing Musk & his family's locations in real time. A warning may have been more appropriate but im not sure I can fault him for being concerned. He has suddenly become one of the most hated people out there thanks to the left so he is probably genuinely concerned FOR his family's safety.

 

I doubt the bans will be permanent.

No they were not.  This is Musk back tracking now to save face. 

 

Time line. 

 

Musk has been at war with this site/s that post publicly available FAA information on jets for years.  Problem is, the FAA data is public info so he couldn't do anything about it.... The site would point of people who claim to be environmentally friendly but their carbon footprint is greater than most everyone on earth. 

 

And for the record, flight record data is literally protected under the 1st amendment....and it's not real time location information... Free speech and all that. 

 

 

Fast forward to now and he starts banning the site from Twitter etc and then changed the TOS on the fly to match the ban.... Cool... (That's a bit scummy.. And goes against what he claims he is about.. But he can do that...)

 

But Then he twists that and uses it to say the site shared real time info location of his son in a car and his child was stalked etc. 

 

Journalists picked up on the story and started doing what Journalists do.... Investigate and low and behold they found a ton of critical holes in his story and started reporting on it on Twitter.  

 

Ban. 

 

Also caught up on the bans are Journalists who never picked up on the story but has been critical of him in the past for something unrelated. 

 

Now that the dust is settled he is trying to conflate all 4 different parties (the FAA flight data, the "stalking" of the car, the Journalist reporting on the story and discovering inconsistencies and Journalists who have been critical in the past) as all under the same umbrella.

As mentioned earlier reporter investigate.. 

 

So reporters started noting that the LAPD threat management unit reached out to Musk reps and security team about the situation but at this point no crime report has been filed as yet. 

 

Mind you, the reporter stayed neutral and just was following the facts.... Banned for the post.

None of this is doxxing and half of these people didnt post any location information regarding him, hell one of these reporters actually pointed out the inconsistencies in his story and at this point we only have Musk word about this anyway, so this scenario isn't even comparable....AGAIN. At the end of the day tracking jets is legal and there's been at least 2 to 3 times people in here have made post that rely on plane tracking.
