No, they can make the exact same game. Without MLB assets. Just like visual concepts HAS ALREADY DONE :deadest:

Reading is essential. Key words are "While under contract" ,  you think the developer owns the code they create while under contract?

That belongs to the IP holder, which in this case is MLB.

Look how desperate they are for their deal to pass unhindered

Yup, just like them making public announcements with Unions yesterday.   This is just them hoping that a PR thing can help them with their court case today.   Its not going to work

No, they’re not. That’s why it’s licensed you moron. :tom:

Except, MLB The Show is PUBLISHED BY THE MLB.

And that product, that specific version of the product, cannot exist without MLB

MLB, therefore, controls the existence of that product.:drake:

They did this for other platforms. They don’t do it for Sony. :umad: Sony was forced to let them, otherwise they would lose licensing.

Sony did not pay for the CODING, AND PORTING WORK FOR THIS GAME TO RUN on XBOX

That was paid by MLB.

The publishing costs were paid by MLB

Sony absolutely paid for and developed for the Nintendo and Xbox versions. Then MLB distributed it.

Let’s say I create and own a company that produces steering wheels. If I contact MLB and get MLB brand on my steering wheels through a licensing deal, you think MLB now owns my company and product? :mj:

Of course your example is stupid just like you.

Who said anything about owning the actual company you dumb cunt... Lmfao.

If you developed the steering wheel while under contract with the MLB to develop steering wheels for them... Then yes the steering wheel belongs to them.

Your example is like if Sony developed a baseball game while not being under contract from the MLB, while not getting paid by the MLB to develop it. and then they asked MLB to use their name..

You really lack basic knowledge on how this works.

Which means that this was in the contract from the very beginning.

Its not like MLB can CHANGE the contract on Sony.

When MLB did a contract with Sony.......there must've been a stipulation in which it says "this can be exclusive to Playstation platforms as long as other similar MLB games are being published on other non-Playstation platforms. If those games go away, then this product may require to be made for other platforms at MLB's discretion."

Such a clause would also exist when 2K also signed a deal with MLB.

Sorry, you're losing the argument because you can't make any points.

You trying to run to bets isn't going to help you.

Prove your points and actually win an argument..............for once.

You can't do that? That's your problem.
