Too lazy to post the tweets so here’s a link to Gaf.

Good lord.

I can’t wait to see what mental gymnastics lemmings are going to try now to say he actually meant the reverse of what he literally just said. This dude tried to take the money and run.

The jury is still out but I wouldn’t be too confident. I think MS might be about to find you can’t just buy the console war when you finally realise you’ve lost after 20 years of trying to win it organically.

LMAO no shit.  If you're a big 3rd party publisher it makes no sense for day and date games on Gamepass.

Bobby has to go all in on that though because one of the FTCs suggestions was that Activision could/would have put games on cloud.

That's more than enough for the FTC's court case to go forward.:banderoos:

:lawl::lawl::lawl:The judge literally did a double-take when he heard that.

lmfao.. no.

She very CLEARLY understands why Kotick would agree to the merger despite disagreeing with Microsoft about day and date subscription services..  His response to her questioning him was right on the money.

One of the FTCs angles was that Activision would potentially put Activision games on subscription services in the future and that it would have happened organically without MS... and Kotick is clearly saying, no... it wouldn't.

No shit. There’s actually dumbasses out there that think a world exists where they pay $19.99 a month and get all of the video games in existence while those video games come out at the same quantity and quality they do now.

Gamepass is bad for gamers.

Nope, the judge is setting up a question, in which the answer is clearly damaging to Microsoft.

The judge is SPECIFICALLY setting up the idea that Microsoft is paying $70 billion dollars for something they are going to immediately diminish its value well-below $70 billion.

And the person on the other side of that merger is saying that its "value-destructive" and not a good business practice from his perspective as an independent third-party publisher

...............which sets up the question:

WHY would Microsoft overpay for something to immediately diminish its value?

How is that good business, or good economics?

The answer?

It isn't..............its a predatory business maneuver, not a sound business maneuver. And therefore an anti-competitive maneuver.

I love how you are stupid enough to offer an explaination from Activision's point of view, when this entire proceeding is to critique this from Microsoft's point of view.

I love how you thought your post was going to convince anybody:hest:
