Huh?  There's like 5 other shooters which are vastly more popular on PC :drake:

You're just mad that Battlefield isn't even close to being one of them :tom:

You know what also isn't one of them? HALO INFINITE AKA the MP flop of the gen :lul:

PC has a significantly larger list of active online titles to play than PlayStation. In every production bracket. Especially when discussing competitive gaming, which is absolutely abysmal on PS compa

yeah, its called warzone.   its free to play.   why do you think PC players play it more? there isn't many other high-quality, large-production games to compete against with, like

Halo's issue was a lack of content, Battlefield's issue was that it simply sucked fullstop :hest:

It's funny how Hermits have boycotted COD, and it's still more popular on PC than it is on consoles.  Yet on consoles COD is far and away the biggest shooter franchise.

LOL shitty console fumblestick shooters :tom:

That's on Steam alone though, not counting all the people who play it through the Xbox app with GamePass :reg:

Battlefailed is completely irrelevant compared to COD on PC... and COD is completely irrelevant to other shooters on PC.... Even a third rate shooter like COD on PC is still more popular than the most popular shooter on console :cruise:

If nobody is playing free Halo multiplayer on Steam then I doubt there's many people playing it through gamepass/xbox.

And there's also people playing BF2042 directly through the EA app and not steam.

But regardless of CoD's success on PC its clear that Halo Infinite MP is by far the biggest disappointment this gen when it comes to MP shooters.

Sure, but that disappointment comes from the fact that it's a good game at it's core and that it just didn't have the quantity of content when it needed to survive and thrive.

BF flopped because it simply wasn't good and had a ton of issues.

Except both Halo Infinite and BF2042 now have more content since their launches, but despite that only BF2042's numbers have increased while Infinite's continue to decrease. I'm not sure how you can ignore that trend. Surely if its always been good and now has more content there should be more people playing it right? :francis:

BF's numbers have vastly decreased and never recovered... lmfao acting like increasing to only 12K is good.  BF is as dead as Halo is... makes no difference at this point.  And the only reason you have people still playing that POS is because they actually spent money on it.

Look at the reviews... Halo reviewed WAY better because it's a better game.  Problem is, the content wasn't there and people abandoned it because there are other better F2P games out there with constant content updates.

343i massively dropped the ball, nobody is saying otherwise... but Halo Infinite would be destroying BF if they actually had delivered on content since the beginning.

So more people would rather play a supposedly bad BF game they payed money for instead of a good Halo game thats free and also has better reviews?

lmao. Come on you know there’s no way you can turn this argument in Halo’s favor.

I like how you're trying hard to make it sound like "2x" the amount of people playing BF currently compared to Halo makes it successful, when we're talking 6K and 12K players.

More people feel compelled to play Battlefield because they spent money on it...  12K people... is fucking DEAD...  just as dead as Halo's 6K people..  Battlefield's improvements since launch may have convinced some people who've spent money on the game to continue to play it a bit... but it's still dead as fuck.  Halo's improved as well, but it's missed the boat to keep people engaged... that time period has passed for a F2P game...

Again, nobody is denying Halo was a failure... the only thing still happening is you acting like Battlefield is somehow successful compared to it... it's not, BF was a MASSIVE failure.. and even Battlebit Remastered is a far better game.

Im not saying BF2042 is some kind of massive success, but its still nowhere near as big of a failure as Halo Infinite.

And people aren't going to play a game they hate just because they payed money for it. That is a silly argument.

Also, 12K is actually not bad for a BF game. That now makes 2042 the most active BF game on Steam, beating out BFV, 1, and every other BF on there.

Meanwhile in comparison Halo Infinite is actually TRAILING behind Halo MCC........ :| :D

Its a much bigger disappointment. Just accept that and move on.

You're always trying to paint it as some kind of success..  Successful in "beating Halo"... because that's literally the only thing you can attempt to say it was successful at.  And yes, people play games they've bought because they've spent money on it.  I never said they HATE the game... but rather do the rounds because they've put money into it.  Not silly at all... it's reality.

12K is terrible.  Period.  There's tiny garbage shooter games on PC which average more.  And no... 2042 isn't even the most active BF game on Steam... There are as many people still playing BF1 and even more people playing BF5 in the last 24 hours.. :tom:

Screenshot-2023-07-08-183156.png

Halo Infinite was at least more than just an MP shooter... it had a Campaign which was good... unlike BF2042... so while it undoubtedly is a disappointment... it's still a better package than BF2042 and has better gameplay easily :tom:

The review scores don't lie... Halo Infinite is a better game than BF2042 :reg:

Lol that campaign was actually worse than the multiplayer. I guess if you like Ubisoft quality open worlds with no memorable moments, then sure it’s good.

Campaign was great.. again, it was just the amount of content which let it down.

Doesn't matter though, people undeniably think Halo Infinite is a better game than BF2042.  It all came down to 343i shitting the bed with content... and nobody is denying that.

Why are you guys even arguing about Infinite's PC player base? Nobody on PC gives a fuck about that series.

Halo Master Chief collection is usually among the top sellers on steam when it goes on sale.

It's just a decline of gamers interests and lost of prestige for the Halo franchise, it's on a downward spiral since Halo 4. Compare this to the hype around the Halo 3 launch and it's huge online community that persisted for years.
