EA and ubi services ONLY has their own games. GP has 3rd party games which MS has to pay out the nose per game for it to be on the service. It's a loss leader for a reason. jehurey 3,318
You can say alot of things about Bobby Kotick, but there is no reason to doubt that he doesn't know how to succeed and make money and become the biggest third-party publisher in the business. And in court, under legal questioning........even though he was trying to get th acquisition to go through because he personally stood to earn over $400 million dollars from it...........he straight-up told the truth. He has no incentive to lie about this. In fact he has ever incentive to repeat Phil Spencer's bullshit about the economics of GamePass. GamePass IS value destructive and does not work. There are now reports coming out that Phil Spencer's OWN EMPLOYEES WITHIN THE XBOX DIVISION were telling him that GamePass' economics do not work, and he wasn't listening to them. This is even more damning because GamePass is ONLY available on two platforms, but EA Play is available on FOUR platform. What do you mean its successful? Its not even as big as GamePass, and GamePass is a failure. The reason why it EA still has the service is because it doesn't take away from new game release sales.

You just used an example of one that isn't remotely big at all, even though its much more widely available than GamePass

You can't compare EA play and unisoft + because they aren't playing hundreds of millions out the nose to put other developers games on their service like MS does with 3rd parties. Its only viable as a small revenue stream for DATED GAMES in which they don't expect to SELL anymore. ...like, do you think you're being clever not explaining the rest of the context? Or are you that stupid?
