UPDATE (June 18, 2024): We saw a suggestion from Jawmuncher on Twitter (X) that Capcom's MT Framework engine is to blame for the recent spate of Xbox omissions. Our sources indicate that this is correct. Right now, Capcom has no pipeline for porting older MT Framework titles to Xbox's modern ERA system, which makes it more expensive to deliver the same titles than it would porting them to PlayStation 4, Switch, or PC. I think it did, but from what I read someone said that the team that used to keep and maintain it on Xbox have been absorbed into the RE Engine, so there's no longer support for Xbox One consoles nor Series. That's also why there's no "PS5 specific" version and it just runs in PS4 BC mode supposedly since the framework for PS4 and Steam are still there and supported. Basically the Xbox versions sales potential likely wasn't worth it for them to put people on it and add support back again for these MT games, but the Switch was.. so they did it for Switch. So TLHBFR still Switch was still on MT frame work I believe as it was still getting a bunch of MT games like MH stories 2 etc. First time RE engine came to switch was for Monster Hunter Rise and Ghosts and Goblins.
