Yea, the launch window software looks like it's going to be MUCH better this time around than it was last gen. No... the LCD panel is NOT lit from the edge... it's lit from behind... which is why it's referred to as "backlighting type" Where the light ORIGINATES is IRRELEVENT... the light enters the through the LCD panel FROM BEHIND...
