Holy fucking SHIT does it look good. Looks so clean. In all honesty this probably looks better graphically than ever RDR2 on PC.. But the cool thing is that regardless of all that, that makes 2 of the best looking PC games released this year running on the Vulkan API. Both Vulkan and DX12 are starting to pick up steam now as more and more devs switch from DX11. The next gen games are going to require DX12/Vulkan so it seems like a lot of devs are switching now.

Half-Life: Alyx announced for Steam VR, revealing on Thursday @ 10AM PST

This has the chance to be so much fucking better than a traditional HL game it's not even funny.. All that whining will go away if the game turns out to be actually awesome. People just hate the fact that they don't have a VR set and would have to buy one... not the fact that the game couldn't be amazing in VR. Man I hope they knock it out of the fucking park with this -

Despite what people might think about Valve not releasing big AAA games anymore... there's no denying the fact that they know how to make some good shit when they want to. If this really is supposed to be a flagship VR title that's meant to drive interest and adoption to VR, then I expect it to be pretty awesome. While it will work on Index, Rift, and Vive.. Valve HAS been designing their Knuckles controllers for a reason.. They've been working on stuff behind the scenes.. from hardware to interaction systems and everything else. Just because they haven't been releasing stuff doe -
Yea.. I just tried it out for about 30min and while I feel it's maybe a bit better, still def not 100%. I don't think they'll be able to fix a fundamental issue with how the game is coded. I gotta get rid of this 4 core CPU though...

LMAO xCloud is going to kill this shit dead.. No shitty stream box necessary. Use your Xbox controller, or your DS4 controller.. $9.99 a month. Starting games list... Damn... Stadia going first really was the blessing MS needed to help push their own service

Given the rumored RAM configurations being about 20GB.. and rumored transfer rates which are possible due to the work Sony has been doing... it could take all of 2-3 seconds max to fill the entire system RAM. That loading could easily be hidden behind a "transition" and you likely wouldn't even notice it. For all intents and purposes.. it could feel like no loading at all.

Not saying you don't have a point... as you definitely do. But I think they mean in general just more compartmentalizing of game modes and content by developers where it makes sense. Things that they could.. and should separate. Things like SP and MP components of games, which have them as distinct modes, being separated as a standard.. as well as possibly things like CGI videos not being downloaded until they are needed, and intelligently discarded after they are no longer required. Same could go for audio. Different audio languages should all be separate in files and you should be able

It'll be fine. It will have immense value especially earlier on in the generation as it plays all your previous generations of Xbox games, plus it's essentially a top of the line PC for ~$499.. That's a pretty damned good value... As the generation goes on.. who know? MS just needs to release good games and that, along with their services and their trade-in/financing options and shit they are planning, it almost makes it a no brainer to grab one if you prefer a more simplistic console experience.

It's gonna be much better on PC because the game apparently drops frames hard on both consoles. Even the PRO too. So 60fps+ on PC will be really nice for this one.
