What are you watching, listening to, and reading? thread

The Meg was OK. Statham and the action were really great, and the CGI was pretty well done too. The rest of the cast, the script, and the tone were all over the place though. I wished it would have either been more over the top or tried to just be a scary underwater movie. Still, the best shark movie since Deep Blue Sea. If you have a movie subscription, it worth seeing. If not, just wait until you can stream it.

7/10

Next movie will be BlacKKKlansman

My dad met Gomey from Breaking Bad. He’s apparently very active in the Albuquerque community.

I swear bro, with every ep of BCS I feel like I blink and it's over :(

Tell me about it; I started watching the series the previous weekend, and I'm already caught up - currently DL'ing S04.Ep.2 right now. :glad: but then the realization that I have to wait 6 more days until the next episode  ...

Saw Black Klansmen, its a pretty good movie. Its most obvious flaw is that its just a bit too long, they let a few scenes go one for a bit too long, even though they are interesting scenes. (It could also be that I watched it late on Tuesday night, and I was kind of tired).

And the first 2/3's has plenty of funny stuff going on, but that goes away during the final part of the movie.

Its almost like Spike Lee is trying to do a Scorcese "historical crime" movie. Its fun in parts, its informational, everybody dresses slick.  Except there's one big difference.

When you get to the end of Goodfellas or Casino, you think "man, I can't believe that was true, that was crazy time back then"

In this movie, Spike Lee makes it very clear "it was crazy back then, but that craziness is still happening now. Here are things they did back then, here is real life footage of it happening now. Here are some of the main people from the movie, and here is real life footage of them still doing what they doing right now."

Oh shit, yeah I forgot about Jason Bateman in Ozark - I watched the first 8 episodes, then moved across the country, and forgot about it!

Fuck; I love forgetting, then subsequently remembering about shows I was watching :D

And I hear nothing but rave reviews for Fargo, so I suppose I should get on that too.
