Considering how bad and uncomfortable sony controllers have been for a decade this shouldn't be an issue

There have been NO performance improvements to the game on WiiU.  It's the exact same performance as when it launched.  It slows down significantly more, and more often, than the Switch version does..

The system only has 32gb's of storage and some games require large installs so you will need an SD card for extended storage. ($20-$40)   Also you'll want to buy a glass screen protector, th

Switch version is better yes but it certainly doesn’t sound like the huge difference some here is saying.

..............you posted a video from March 4 (practically the Switch launch day).

We are LITERALLY posting videos and analysis from the games once they were patched. Well, the Switch version was patched, because its the only one receiving actual support.

Well obviously. Are you expecting switch version to have bigger framerate dips?

That an old video, Switch version performance improved.  While Wiiu version stayed dropping to 19 FPS.

Digital Foundry's Tom Morgan guides you through the improvements found in Zelda: Breath of the Wild - and the lack of them, if you're playing on Wii U.

Hey @SheepKilla, check out the credibility of the "video game expert"

Wii U version is just the same.

Allow me to destroy this dumbshit, that video is from May 9th 2017, so two months after launch and the game was only version. 1.2.0, the game is now on 1.5.0. There's been six updates since that video was made, six...

You go on to say two things in this post which are laughable and make you look like an uneducated simpleton, first that Breath of the Wild is exclusive which is laugh out loud funny... Then you go on to say

"And the Switch version has had patches to provide better performance. You would know this IF.......................you were an actual gaming expert."

Well

And the Switch version performs significantly better.

Notice that he DIDN'T address that part.................and he thought he could discredit me on the topic of patches.

Was I talking about patches for the SAKE of patches????????????

Or was I talking about patches to talk about performance????

The bad news is that the Wii U version doesn't benefit much - if at all - from the new patch. Gameplay performance here is effectively identical.

Areas that caused issues on both Switch in docked mode and Wii U are improved on the new machine, but left as is on older hardware.

We can also confirm that the handheld Switch configuration still remains the smoothest way to play Breath of the Wild, followed by the docked mode, with Wii U exhibiting the biggest frame-rate drops.

It doesn't perform "significantly better", you have no reference point to their performance except some soon to be going on two year old analysis'. The games both maintain fairly stable performance with random drops here and there generally in the same places and in places that tank they both tank, it's just a bit more prominent on the Wii U.

You're a clueless fucking moron.

Have had both versions since launch, I've done 7 playthroughs on Switch and 2 on Wii U - most recent Wii U playthrough was a month ago. There's actually a pretty significant difference in performance. At this point I'm willing to say the Switch version is a much better experience overall, and the difference can honestly be pretty night and day at times.

It's not too bad a lot of the time - if you're just out in the field doing whatever it's generally ok, and some areas run almost as well as the Switch version, but there are definitely many areas of the game that chug along where they would otherwise run smoothly on Switch.

I don't think there's been a significant performance patch since about a month after launch, and even then, from what I can tell it only significantly improved the Switch version.

The way that the Switch version was able to improve performance was because many people speculated that they were not utilizing all of the system's memory AND they detected the handheld running at a higher clock frequency. after a patch.

And those two things are impossible to do on the Wii U version.
