Well if they just keep it on Xflop then it will sell maybe a couple hundred thousand.  On PC,  switch , ps4 and xflop probably a couple million.    Ms is 3rd party

Then they announced this game in 2019 as their big game

Then they just announced right now that its also coming to Switch

and Lemmings are trying to pretend that this is not ownage??

Then what was the point of claiming ownage of MS acquiring studios LMFAO

There's really nothing from MS that tickles my fancy TBH. It will be fun to see banjo and other rare games go to Nintendo, but the rest of MS's library is so mediocre this really won't be a second Sega moment.

If they let Nintendo have Lost Odyssey, maybe I'll be excited. And the Forza mainline sim series will fit a nice niche on Switch. :glad:

Halo realistically won't make a big dent on PS4. There so many better options, COD, Destiny, etc.

This game was in development far before their acquisition, it's being published by and is contracted to a completely different company.

You guys have lost the plot.

Actually you just pointed out that they went OUT OF THEIR way to have this game made, that they spent additional money for another studio's assistance.

Your original argument was that Obsidian was just fulfilling a contractual obligation........this isn't part of their contract, they are going beyond it.

Sorry, this isn't lost on anybody here.

Private Division spent money on this and they're having it developed/ported by secondary studio, and it's no doubt been something in the pipeline again well before anything to do with Microsoft. You don't just port things or intend a release on a whim. These are long standing things coming to the forefront of public knowledge.

Obsidian has only been a Microsoft property for all of 8 months, jesus christ you guys are nuts.

No, it hasn't been in the plan before their acquisition, or else the Switch version would release on the same day and date as the other versions.

Sorry.............you're just not good enough to bullshit your way out of this.

Even if it wasn't; a third party was hired to handle it. It's not being done in house, and it doesn't matter anyway, none of it has anything to do with Microsoft.

Wait a year for all of these things, these projects, contracts, deals, agreements and games already committed to other publishers, they'll be gone, buried and that will be the end of this third party Microsoft delusion.

It's already stupid from the onset because all of the things you dumbfucks are latching onto are not Microsoft games. Bleeding Edge is a bonafide example of exactly what I'm saying, once those obligations, contracts and existing plans have been completed the games cease to release elsewhere.

It's just a part of acquisitions, existing obligations and workloads need to be satisfied, once they are it's a clean slate.

Nope..........that's moving the goalposts. That ain't working, either.

In fact, having a third party specifically means that OBSIDIAN wasn't planning on it.

Then who is left to make that business decision?

Mi-cro-soft.  It came from them.:blessed:

MICROSOFT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE OUTER WORLDS, NOTHING. TAKE-TWO INTERACTIVE OWNS THE GAME AND IS RESPONSIBLE FOR EVERY ASPECT OF IT AND ALL DECISIONS SURROUNDING IT.

Unless Obsidian didn't want to spend additional money to pay for porting it to another console...........so Microsoft told them "let us do the publishing on the Nintendo port, and we'll pay for that."

And this would be likely, because Obsidian doesn't have much money to begin with.

You're running out of excuses.:blessed:

You are literally fucking retarded...

Microsoft has no involvement in this game, they don't make any calls surrounding it, it's not their project, it has nothing to do with them. It exists, is funded in its entirety and published by Private Division which is a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive.

This isn't their game, this isn't Obsidian's game, this is Take-Two Interactive's game.

Microsoft purchased Obsidian on the tail end of them finishing out a title for Take-Two...

Then why would Private Division/Take-Two.............after years of only planning for 3 platforms..........suddenly decide to PAY EXTRA MONEY to rush a development of a port for a fourth platform at the last minute?

Its almost as if they don't think they're going to reach their sales target, and need to port it in order to squeeze more sales.

..............but what possible platform could've made them worry about lackluster sales?:interesting:

Because it became feasible to do so, because it was a plan for years, because principle development needed to reach a certain state before it could be competently ported over. It's better for a secondary studio trying to frankenstein a game to have a completed or near complete build of a game so they know and can handle every obstacle they will face when deconstructing and reconfiguring the game. This is why so many larger Switch games have gotten later releases, they don't send chunks over bit by bit and have a developer tweak it over the course of years. That's a waste of time, money and resources which bottlenecks the porting studio as they wait. They're contracted out near completion of development and then left to tackle it in one fell swoop.

No it wasn't...........or else it would've been day and date with the other versions. They announce the RELEASE DATE of October 25, 2019 at the GAME Awards back in December 2018. More than 10 months in advance. The Switch not being available on launch day means it didn't even exist at any point in 2018.

This simply isn't debatable. This was last minute.........this was business decision, and this would be the time in which the publisher would know their pre-order projections for launch.

They are putting this on switch because they aren't hitting the numbers they were hoping for on THREE platforms already.

...........but which platform could possibly be the root cause for lackluster sales?:interesting:

The problem is, MS bought this company knowing they'd be locked down for the next 5 years on a multiplat IP. What the hell is phil thinking? Why waste money on this studio when they will do NOTHING to help Xbox?

MS is actively going out and scooping up B-teams making multiplats, when the hell have we EVER seen acquisitions like this?

ask yourself why. WHY?

Phil knows something you don't and you're having a hard time swallowing the reality pill. :D
