Ori and the Will of the Wisps - Review thread

Recommended Posts

"First tests are coming in, Xbox One X is native 4K but performance is an absolute mess sitting under 60 for most of the video with extended periods at 40FPS. Was really going into this expecting a rock solid 60 for this kind of game especially coming from the first. "

I don't get how this is possible.

We go by PCGamesN here and therefore it's a certified flop.

The Xbox One and One X versions were chugging and he thinks it's all going to magically be solved on Switch... this isn't 3 years later :drake:

The Switch game would definitely be paired back.  Possibly locked at 30.  This game has FAR more enemies and light sources than the original.  Most of the Xbox fps drops are during combat where there's lots of effects and enemies running around.

91 without GS' 8.0 weighed in yet.

GS is always a 'tough' reviewer though. It's why they are the most fun to have as the SW source

IGN's 9/10 hasn't been added yet either, GS's score likely won't offset anything and IGN is the larger publication so it no doubt carries more weight.

Also GS isn't tough, they're predictably terrible.

IGN's 9.0 has been added. It's on the PC version because that was the version they reviewed.

IGN hands out 9+ to nearly anything and anything lower than an 8 is average. GS at least is a little more selective and uses the 1-10 scale a lot better.

The PC gaming sites are really tough on games I've noticed.
