Lockhart isn't happening IMO

Recommended Posts

There has been no announcement of the thing, and we are honestly approaching a point of no return where it must be announced. Outside of insiders talking about itt here hasn't been a single hint from MS or developers about the things possible existent.

You can't just go ball deep into Series X optimised marketing, then pull a Series S out of nowhere randomly.

The announcement must come in the next 3 months the latest. It's weird as fuck.

It doesn't.  It wont be at the launch of the Series X.  It will come after.  It all depends on where Sony's pricing for PS5 lands I'm betting.  They don't want to reveal it too soon and have Sony factor it into their launch pricing.

Absolutely you can do that............if you want to fool the consumer that all of this cool next-gen power is coming, and they just so happen to see a version thats cheaper sitting on the store shelf.

I mean, Microsoft didn't unviel the Xbox 360 Basic version without the hard drive until they had to start taking pre-orders about two months before launch.

The consumer may think to themselves "oh maybe this console version is like a starter version" and then come to realize that it can't really do 4K. But they're also the type of person to run a 1080p signal to the cheap Walmart 4K tv and think that its 4K.

It's happening dude lmao...

No it's not, they've already got the "Optimized for Series X" branding, logo, all of it.

Series X never meant it was part of a series of systems, it's a conveyance of power derived from the One X and Xbox's history as a whole.

X = a standing of power, so what they're basically saying is you're getting the best possible system available from the onset.

Lockhart is supposed to be the main selling system, from what was leaked 3:1 in favour of the Lockhart due to price.

It's not something that you pretend doesn't exist. That makes no sense that you pull out the main selling SKU out your ass the last minute.

ZHuge said it was cancelled in 2019. So the current rumour assumes it's getting revived, the revival might also not happen.

Dynamite... Lockhart exists.... I've already told your ass that. :reg:

"Optimized for Series X" is absolutely NOTHING but an "Xbox One X Enhanced" branding for games which have been coded to take advantage of certain features of the hardware....

i bet it'll come after launch, only because XSX will fail to make a dent in the market.

Think about it, the average consumer can't even tell the difference between Xbox One X and XSX, and the one X sold atrociously to the point of being taken out of production.

now add in the fact that XSX games ship in the same box as Xbone titles.... nobody will even know XSX is next gen.

Lockhart exists as an emergency backup plan for when XSX fails and they have to get a budget-priced SKU out to move ANY units... like the routinely $149 fire saled's ONE S a.k.a One asS:mj:
