I'm implying that it won't get best visuals of 2021, and that not having ray-tracing is going to be part of the reason why.

They don't even need Ray tracing. They completely overhauled their GI not to mention their reflection model for cars was already convincing enough to the point where you wouldn't even really notice a difference with Ray tracing.

No, there's nothing on that map that is reminiscent of the ACTUAL Baja strip

Please point out in that FH5 map where there's a strip of land that looks like that.

 

If you noticed in the video, it clearly looked like a thin strip of land, a peninsula.

 

Where is that in that map?

Yeah Gran Turismo will do that while looking like something that came out in the middle of last generation. What's your point? Doing something just to do something isn't a good reason to do it.

 

Rendering is all about cost versus benefit, what they've got in place is low cost and the benefit they would gain from Ray tracing is minimal therefore there's no reason to do it.
