jehurey 3,230
We have posts in this forum from Spring and Summer 2015 in which people are saying "damn, when are these true next-gen games finally coming?!?!?!" I remember it clearly. Nov 2013 - COD Ghost, cross-gen game that nobody liked Spring 2014 - Thief cross-gen game Sept 2014 - Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor cross-gen game (and that ended up being GOTY winner for alot of websites that year) Nov 2014 - COD Advanced Warfare (moderately liked), and AssCreed Unity bombed and was glitched as hell and had terrible framerate on the PS4/XBO, people were openly complaining about the CPUs in the consoles at that point. Nov 2014 - Re-release GTA5 for PS4/XBO to help keep people busy Take a moment to realize that people have owned PS4 and XBO consoles for one entire year, at this point. Look how barren it looks. Dying Light comes out in early 2015, its actually a third party game designed for just next-gen consoles, and you get the sense that people are playing the game because there's nothing else new to play, at that time. Its decently received. March 2015 - Ninja Theory's Devil May Cry reboot game (from 2013) is re-released for PS4/XBO March 2015 - Bloodborne comes out on PS4, and cows finally get a true AAA exclusive game that is designed for next gen (mostly). June 2015 - Batman Arkham Knight, a legit third-party game that definitely looks "next-gen" is finally released. And by late Oct and November 2015 do we finally start getting major third-party franchises rolling in, that are mostly designed for next-gen. COD Black Ops III, Fallout 4, AssCreed Syndicate. Your own post at the beginning of the thread completely fucked you. You're also conflating a hypothetical sold-through figure with a shipment figure, how dumb can you possibly get? It's very easy to understand. Per console owner PlayStation gamers purchase less games. Over double the circulation of hardware, less than double the volume of sales. Get it? Games sell better on Xbox. Edited October 31, 2021 by DynamiteCop

Not only is Dynamite cop fully retard by trying to claim selling less is more.... He doesn't realize the numbers are solely ubisoft sales for 2021 so far

This is what Ubisoft was speaking about 5 years ago, Xbox users are more valuable to them than PlayStation users. This is quite literally saying PlayStation users do not buy games. This completely backfired on you. Clearly.

So if, full disclosure I'm high and shit but like if 100 people own a Playstation and 30% of them buy Madden (30) vs 65 people who own an Xbox to which 40% of them buy Madden (26), the Xbox sold more? But you didn't even math that. You said Sony had a larger install base and larger percentage sold, yet some how Xbox sells more games? Like I don't get it.

Over double the hardware and less than double the software sales. You're not even inquisitive enough as a thinking human being to understand that I'm not talking about total sales volume; which has been made functionally clear from the onset. Per user, per console games sell less on PlayStation. An Xbox user buys more, Xbox users are more valuable. https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2016/02/ubisoft-suggests-xbox-one-owners-are-more-valuable-than-ps4-owners/
