Because it's something that rarely happens in that specific situation but movies where stunt actors have died didn't cancel the movie. 

 

Hell, the Crow came out 30 years ago and the main actor was shot and killed during and digitally inserted in to the rest of movie after that.

I've never disliked Baldwin. His Trump impersonation is probably one the best out there and I like many of his movies. And yet that is completely irrelevant.

Production was halted for two years.  By the time the movie comes out it would be almost 4 years since the incident.
