Phil Spencer - "We intend to honor all previous agreements and desire to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation"

The thing is that the hardcore, day-to-day Call of Duty player has moved onto Warzone.

Its an existing game on Playstation. And its free-to-play.

So, if Microsoft says that they are going to continue supporting everything that CURRENTLY exists, then they are still supporting Warzone.

And Warzone isn't expected to be closed down or replaced by anything else for the foreseeable future.

Ghostz got fucking CLAPPED ITT

There are franchises that are simply too big to take off other platforms and the financial loss of doing so would heavily outweigh the benefits of an exclusive. COD is definitely in the Minecraft terr

Of course Warzone will still be supported.

To get new weapons, you need the new COD though. That’s how it works now.

It won’t be exclusive. Cows will be able to stream it, through the Gamepass app, on PlayStation.

It will be streamed on PS5, played natively on Xbox and PC.

“We desire” says it all.

"We desire" implies Microsoft is going to have to abide by Sony's rules if they truly want to get CoD on playstation.

So, it has come to my attention that EA Play is currently on Playstation, you can buy a subscription to EA for Playstation.

https://www.playstation.com/en-us/games/ea-play/

But............the purchase page is on the Sony website.

That means you CAN pay for an EA Play subscription..................but you have to pay Sony, through Sony's payment servers.

And Sony takes their cut of that payment, and then gives the rest to EA.

So............Microsoft can do exactly that. They could do it, tomorrow, if they really wanted to.

But the credit card transactions HAVE TO go through Sony.

(And it isn't a streaming service, those games have to be third-party developed games that run natively on playstation hardware, and are also sold individual as retail games)
