3.6x performance increase... in the lab demo :drake:

In Unity... :lawl:

LOL Unity is like 90% of your PCVR/Meta games, and about 95% of your PC games.

:lawl::lawl::lawl: this guy has now moved on to trying to downplay the engine developer.

Thats too expensive especially with no compelling software. VR is never going to catch on at this rate.

But with Sony, the customer has the ability to get there step by step.   FIrst step, try and save up money for a PS5 and get one.   Second step, later on, save up to get a PSVR2

That fucking spider level.

Like PSVR huh :drake:

PSVR was the highest selling VR headset when it released.

Beating Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and still beating Valve Index.

Meta basically sacrificed its entire company stock price to sell as many units as it did.:drake:

Yeah it is.

I love how the best ammunition to try and trash PSVR2..............is by describing YOUR GAMES from YOUR PLATFORMS:lawl::lawl::lawl:

didn't think that one through, did'ya?:tom:

"when it launched"

It's quickly dropped off and sold like SHIT overall.

LOL you think a $150 more expensive headset, which connects to a higher priced device.... with a fraction of the install base, during a time of economic uncertainty... is suddenly going to penetrate and do massive numbers :drake: :drake:

No, it sold at least 5-6 million. Which puts it at about a third of Quest 2

Which would make it the SECOND HIGHEST selling VR headset.............because if you've looked at the steam numbers, Valve Index is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY behind Quest 2

LOL he got embarassed by what I typed afterwards, because its true

Actually, last known figures for Quest 2 are right under 15 million, so my initial estimat of one-third was low.

PSVR1 has sold about slightly less than half of Quest 2.

And that still, easily, makes it the second most successful VR headset.

Nobody is interested in your estimates.  It sold like SHIT.

And it dropped off hard.  Nothing about PSVR2 points to anything changing.

No it didn't sell like shit.

I guess you're calling the Valve Index a complete failure, then:drake:

he didn't think it through, once again

PSVR debut price was higher than the Quest 2, and with all controllers it cost upwards of $500.

It dropped off when Sony was wrapping up marketing the PS4 and moving onto PS5.

It sold perfectly well.............obviously, if they're making a PSVR2 with improved specs.

Instead of regressing like Valve is doing by designing their next VR headset to follow lower quality Quest games.

Total shit.

Fell off soo hard too:rofl:

LOL "with improved specs"... yeah it's kinda hard not to improve the garbage that the origninal PSVR was :tom:

Sorry, go cry somewhere else.

Thanks for admitting that the Valve Index was shit that failed even harder.

They improved on every single VR headset that currently exists, and they may already be ahead of Quest 3 and Index 2 if they don't have eye-tracking foveated rendering.

You're so angry that I've been bitchslapping you this entire night.

How many arguments have you lost this evening?

Let's count

1. IR eye tracking absolutely smokes image capture and processing in every way when it comes to producing eye-tracking foveated rendering

2. PSVR2 specs easily beat Quest 2, and Quest Pro

3. Eye tracking greatly improves performance, so much so that a developer could be able to recreate their 30fps/4K game on a flat-screen to 90fps in the PSVR2 without altering their graphics because of the efficiency brought by eye-tracking foveated rendering.

4. Eye tracking is near-instaneous and processed with its built-in IR camera sensor after you falsely claimed it was "done in software" and therefore insinuated that it was as process-heavy as the image processing.

5. You tried to claim that the PSVR1 software was inferior to PCVR........you were laughably wrong about that

6. You tried to bash the tethered wire, even though it will produce better image quality than the image compression needed for wireless VR headseats

7. You tried to say that PSVR1 didn't sell at all, and in fact it was the highest selling VR hardware up until 2020, and it currently remains the second highest selling VR hardware.

Wow................no wonder you're mad.

I've absolutely beaten the living shit out of you this evening.

This means nothing when it equates to about a 3% attach rate. Why would a developer make a game for it?

Because they're not as stupid as you are with numbers.

6 million is still 6 million

That's what they would look at.

They wouldn't look at "3% attach rate"

And for 6 million to be 3% of the PS4 userbase...................there would have to be 200 million PS4's

If the number is 5 million PSVR units, 3% attach rate would mean that there would have to be 166 miilion PS4's.

My god you are fucking stupid with numbers, aren't you?
