Wow what a leader. Why not attempt to codify roe v wade in the lame duck session before republicans take the house? Oh no wait, they won't do that because then they will lose that political wedge. Fucking cynical shit always.

It's so impressive how you see thru all of the lefts plans so easily. Lmfao

he mis-read the tweet, and I immediately caught it, and he scrambled to add on some hastily scrambled bullshit afterwards.

he initially thought that Biden was asked "what are you going to do in the next two years"

And he THOUGHT Biden said "nothing" as in "I'm not going to do anything these next two years."

And all he typed was "what a leader."

Everything after that, he rushed to type after I caught him.:tom:

That's doesn't mean he is going to sit there and do nothing doofus.

The question was what would he "do differently". He is staying the course and will continue with his legislative victories which will also include the plan to codify Roe V wade.

He has to wait to see how the senate and the house races shapes up not just in pure numbers because it's basically going to be a split... But which specifically which senators return and which new one's join congress and then work with them on the path to pass legislation.

Joe Biden Just Had the Best Midterms for a Democrat President in 24 Years (newsweek.com)

Democrats Pulled Off the Biggest Midterm Shock in Decades - The Atlantic

Election takeaways, take 2: Congress control on knife's edge | AP News

HISTORY LESSON

It’s called history for a reason. The party that celebrates winning the White House is usually mourning a loss in the midterms two years later.

Add to that historical pattern an economy battered by inflation and teetering on recession, throw in fears about crime, and the outcome is close to certain.

Since 1906, there have been only three midterms in which the party of the president in power gained House seats: 1934, when the country was struggling with a Depression; 1998, when the U.S. was buoyed by a soaring economy; and 2002, when President George W. Bush had a sky-high approval rating amid the national feeling of unity after the Sept. 11 attacks.

I predict there will be issues voting and will take days, maybe weeks for the results in some of the tight races, and all of them will go in the democrats favour. Republicans will take the house and democrats will keep the Senate.

I should have placed a bet

why? so you would lose money?

there were no voting issues

these are standard times for COUNTING VOTES in Nevada and California and Arizona.

They have nothing to do with VOTING issues. Nevada accepts mail in ballots that are postmarked on election day, November 8th.

Which means it boils down to how long it takes the post office to deliver the ballots. In which previous elections, getting all the ballots can take up to 5 days after election day.

California has congressional districts that has more than 3 million people in them. Were you honestly expecting to receive results that same night?

So, you don't understand that it has always been like this? Do you?

Why do you think America had historically set a Presidential inauguration in late January to begin with?

Democrats have won Alaska's lone congressional seat, against Sarah Palin, no less.

Quote

On the conservative MustReadAlaska website, commenters mused that after this election, Alaska seems to lean more Democratic than Florida, and some predict that Alaska will vote to the left of Florida in 2024. One user wrote: “Alaska’s voting population is no longer blood-red. Hate to be a negative Nancy, but I really think Alaska is going the way of Washington and California. The conservative ship has sailed.” Others blamed the “selfishness” and “blind ambition” of Palin and Begich, and “the stupidness of the Republican party” in recent years for this phenomenon.

“Palin was the spoiler,” wrote another user in the MustReadAlaska comments. “She sucked away from Begich, handing the race to a leftist who will basically have no clout in the new Congress anyway. Silly Palin-bots! You [Palin voters] blew your chance to elect a true conservative representative who would have had clout, and gave your votes to a woman who has no loyalty to you.”

On Friday morning, the “Last Frontier” still did not have an official representative to the US House, but most agree that Mary Peltola is likely to win after ranked-choice votes are tabulated. Palin, realizing her defeat must be imminent, went nuclear on the Republican party itself and blamed “the dark, dysfunctional GOP machine” for her loss before telling supporters they should stop making donations to the party. “They opposed me every step of the way in my congressional bid, which is par for the course,” she said.

And when Republicans lose, they end up blaming other people for it.

Republicans are sore losers.

Kentucky voted and made abortion legal again in the state.  The attorney General, a republican immediately filed a motion with the Kentucky Supreme Court to have what the people of the state or Kentucky voted for struck down.

Mind you he plans to run for governor in a year and a half.... Republicans can help but self sabotage themselves. Lmfao

Ok, so Republicans have thrown a curveball and are looking to activate the incel base of the alt right and attacking single women to do it.

Oh look, he actually cares for women - as a crutch to justify his transphobia. These morons are so fucking predictable and stupid. The Right acts like people can't piece together that they only value straight white men. 'Chaste' straight white women are second and everyone else can fuck off.

Because it's far easier to just attack them than try to appeal to their needs?

Tw-incel's virgin ass believed wholeheartedly that no one cared about abortion.  These guys really live up their own ass holes.

It's official! Dems win the Nevada seat and clinch control of the senate.

Which means that the Republicans in Georgia will lose all incentive to go and vote for Herschel Walker in the runoff, and Warnock should be able to win it easily in December.

Democrats are going to have 51 Senate seats.........and, nobody is promising anything BUUUUT there are some watchful eyes on certain congressional seats because its going to end up becoming much close than people think.

We should've known based on the results of the mid-term election.

They came up short, yet again.

It'll be really interesting to see who shows up in Georgia to campaign for Walker. Can see the GOP leaving him in the wind as a Trump candidate that they can point to as another Trump failure, but it'd be a good testing ground to see how much pull DeSantis' has outside of Florida to have him campaign for Walker.
