8.5 is actually a great score. The problem is Lemshits and MS don't just want a great game from Starfield, they want a GOTY or genre defining masterpiece from Bathesda to make up for all the years of Xbox being completely dogshit. It's actually unfair to Bathesda but it's the problem that years of incompetence from Phil and MS has caused. If Starfield had released last year on time I doubt it would be getting all this pressure on it. MS went the entire 2022 without games and 2023 is already a disaster for them with Redflop, declining Xbox sales and the CMA block of ABK merger. Everything is now riding on Starfield unfortunately for Bathesda.
