Game has some bugs currently.  They just released a hotfix which fixes a couple of them though.. and I suspect the remaining ones will be fixed soon enough.

 

But no... lol.. this game is best on PC already.. if you have the hardware.  Looks glorious in Ultrawide

Ratchet launched on PC a buggy mess, with crashes and missing graphical effects. DF recommends holding off and waiting for potential fixes. Sorry that triggered your snowflake ass

No, its not best on PC, the PS5 simply has it beat with the fast-streaming through portals.

 

There's a reason why hermits have been quiet recently and not posting extended footage.

 

The portal sequences, even when they have the max requirements for DirectStorage, are still not loading in as fast as the PS5.

 

And now we're seeing proof that the game didn't sell barely anything at all.

 

And PC gamers do what they always do when you show them empirical proof of those things.....................they make excuses all the live long day.

Lmao, the ENTIRE rift sequence with like 8 portal jumps loads a whopping 1 second slower in TOTAL...

 

Anyone with a brain can see that due to the literal thousands of SSD's and the nature of game function and optimization they had to fix their loading time or risk breaking the game.

 

That's why a 3,500 Mb/s drive will load identically to a 7,000 Mb/s drive, it has a peak lock.

 

Aside from the inconsequential loading difference which amounts to basically nothing, and the few missing transparency effects (which are probably already fixed) there's nothing better about this game on console.

Yes, it is best on PC.  Sorry sweetie... but saving 1 second of load time total in a 5 portal transition sequence doesn't make up for the fact that PC version RUNS far better while looking better.  120fps locked at 4K with DLSS and XeSS, which both look better than the PS5 version (which can drop to 1296p) and are more temporally stable.  Further draw distances and RT BVH distance.. not to mention that's with better RT effects such as RTAO and RT shadows included as well.

 

And everyone knew this game would sell like shit on PC... it's a full priced 2 year old PS game which lasts about ~10 hours.  Nobody thinks these PS games are worth full price years later... and that's reflected in the sales.  Sony probably just ported this game because the work was already done to bring this engine over and even selling like dogshit it will still turn a profit for them and continue to trickle in sales for years.  It also adds another game to the list for when Sony brings a subscription service to PC gamers. (which will likely do far better for them since nobody wants to pay full price for these old games)

 

And that's because there's far better stuff to play on PC.. and Sony's games just don't compete with that.  Baldur's Gate 3 will absolutely DEMOLISH this shit... as will Microsoft's Starfield.
