To be in the range of the series S the weakest console of the gen but more powerful than last gen systems is raising expectations?

 

It's launching in the same power range the OG switch launched in 2017 relative to the consoles out at the time and last gen systems at the time. 

 

One thing for certain that It will be more powerful than the steam deck that's for sure

Nintendo is going to show you compromised ports of Cyberpunk and Baldurs gate and you're going to believe it's a current gen console. Just like they showed you Witcher 3 and Doom 2016 and you believed Switch competed with PS4.

 

Switch 2 is sub PS4 just like Switch 1 is sub PS3.

Does it ultimately matter how underpowered Nintendos next gen handheld is? It’s a handheld first and foremost with a docking capability. It’s not really a console anymore, but Nintendo will develop way more than Valve ever does game wise on that platform. Nintendo hasn’t had a console since Wii and kind of Wii U.

 

Valve is a washed up developer that just caters to their crowd and utilizes their monopoly on the PosC market via Steam.

They released half life alyx in 2020 and more people are playing the barely-announced Deadlock than will ever play Concord. That's power Sony wishes they had.

Nintendo knows how to get the most out of their hardware more than any other developer. They have done that consistently for decades.
