  1. as a game, it's awful. the 4 is spot on. as an cinematic experience, it's a 7.5. heavily flawed, but enjoyable.
  2. try genres you typically overlook. i now love srpgs and souls games - subgenres i used to loathe.
  3. ok, i have an issue. i double dipped on elden ring so i can play it at work. i have to say, it looks really great on the SD. i still want to dock it, but i had to point out how amazing the optimization is for ER on the SD. oh...the replay is giving me nostalgia feels
  4. Yeah, I feel like that’s something that should be taught in person. However, I would check out power lifting videos. I learned about straps when I got into powerlifting. Also, farmer walks/carries are amazing for building forearm strength.
  5. HD TVs were expensive af back in the day. I was also never a fan of the bleeding red issue with LCDs. So, I bought the VGA cable and played it on my 19” pc monitor. It looked amazing with perfect black levels.
  6. The first is the best. Godly game. It was the first true next gen game for the 360/ps3 era. I probably beat it like 5 times.
  7. indie titles. lorelei and the laser eyes will most likely be my goty. most big budget games lack soul. edit: for big games fh5 elden ring zelda totk
  8. whoops, i mea t to write "the perfect host", but the host is good too.

  10. shiiii i wouldn't even know where to begin. give me a genre.
  11. episode 1 wasn't pulling me in. did you find it to be slow?
  12. yeah, so here's the catch. you can be OP, but those enemies/bosses in the DLC will scale accordingly. that's why i'm considering a fresh run, cheesing everything so i can quickly get a character strong enough to play it at "non" new game.
  13. i'm just not into the setting....and that monkey boss looks goofy lol.
  14. if it's like the other games, there will be an area, late in the main game, that will grant you access. from's dlc is incredible. in some ways, better than the main game. as much as i loved bloodborne, old hunters was incredible (some of the best boss fights ever)! ds3 also had amazing dlc, easily surpassing its main game bosses,.
  15. i will eventually play it. i'm just not a fan of that particular theme. but lies of p made me want to play more games with a heavier emphasis on parries.
  16. "You have to put emotion aside and focus on the teams" (gets rid of hifi rush devs)
  17. it's the game that got me hooked on souls titles, but the Souls games (except 2) are way better than ER. but I will always have a soft spot for ER. The community is amazing. I was thinking of doing an experiment: seeing if i can beat it and the expansion on the steam deck, since i just don't have the time to play it at home. or...i may bring my ps5 to my office.
  18. are you using an older ng+ build, or are you going in fresh with a new one, in order to get back into the flow? (also, easier difficulty for the expansion)
