madmaltese★ 2,591
Watched Good Time since I loved Uncut Gems to much. It's good but no where near the level of uncut gems. Definitely a fan of the Safdie bros though.

Lalo might be the best character ever added midway through a series. The actor is just so good and he feels so intimidating without saying a single word. Great episode tonight.

jehurey 3,278
I just read an article headline about casting this asian lady that was in Pacific Rim 2. She's going to be on this tv series for HBO Max called Tokyo Vice. .........created by Michael Mann. I repeat. The guy who made Miami Vice is making a Tokyo Vice......and that guy is Michael FUCKING Mann, and he's going to create a crime drama through the eyes of Tokyo at night. This is the most baddest ass news I've read in quite some time.
Twinblade★ 3,946
Damn, when you said Tokyo Vice I immediately thought it was going to be an adaptation of the book with the same name. Thats a great story that I wouldn't mind being adapted into a show. Edited March 5, 2020 by Twinblade

Quote The project was initially set up as a movie in 2013, with Daniel Radcliffe attached to star as Adelstein. Anthony Mandler was set to direct, and development was advanced enough to where a production start of mid-2014 was set.[1] In June 2019, the project was re-purposed as a television series, receiving a 10 episode straight to series order by WarnerMedia to stream on their streaming service HBO Max. Ansel Elgort was set to star in and executive produce the series, with J. T. Rogers writing and Destin Daniel Cretton directing the series.[2] In September, Ken Watanabe was added to the cast.[3] In October, Michael Mann was hired to direct the pilot episode for the series, which will begin filming in Japan in February 2020. Mann will also executive produce the series.[4] In February, Odessa Young and Ella Rumpf were added to the cast.[5] In March, it was announced that Rinko Kikuchi joined the cast, and that shooting began on February 27th.[6] If Michael mann is developing a tv series, and it has the word "Vice" in it, people are going to expect it to have certain qualities. Ken Watanabe better be in a badass suit and driving a fucking 1994 Acura NSX.
Ike★ 2,919
So does anyone know if HBOMax will just be replacing HBO Now? Will I still be able to get my shows at airtime on Sundays?
