It can't mean that because you don't get 500 free games, that's a fact. What you do get is free access to these games if you own an Xbox One without the need to purchase additional hardware e.g. the PlayStation Classic.

Wouldn't that make the separate, stand-alone PS1 make even more sense.

The PS4 doesn't incorporate backwards compatibility costs, its strictly for PS4 games........and if there are a small sub-group of playstation fans , or lapsed PS fans who do want to play the old games, there's a specific product for that.

Oh, by the way, the PS classic went up for pre-order at walmart.com about 2-3 hours ago. 

 

I went ahead and did a pre-order. I got until the beginning of December to see if I really want to keep it. It will depend on the full 20 game list, and if there's a chance the thing could be hacked.

The PS mini appears to have standard USB ports on the front side. So If you had a PS4 dualshock and had a USB cord connected to it?

They should try to make it work with PS3 dualshocks with a USB cord.
