Sorry for being late with putting up the poll.

 

There's the games that everybody nominated. Top two vote getters will move onto All-Decade List

 

Will have Best of 2011 on Wednesday.

There's 10 weeks left in the year, that also means there's 10 weeks left of this decade, the 2010's.

 

January 1, 2010 - December 31st, 2019

 

So, in order to determine the game of the decade, we must also review which are the best game(s) of every year of this decade, and then we take a final vote out of those games to determine GoTD.

 

The last week of the year, we'll determine 2019 Game of the Year while also determine GoTD.

 

I'll post a list of all published 2010 games here in a bit.

 

Pick two games from 2010.

One of them as your top game.

And the second one as the runner-up.

 

And then a second 2010 thread will be created solely as a poll that's created from your Top Games/Runner-ups.

(or maybe I can edit this thread to add a poll)

The more I'm thinking about it, the more steps its involving.

 

This thread is for NOMINATING the best games of 2010.

 

And then from there I will create a Best Game of 2010: Poll thread that will have all of the Nominations in a poll, and that will verify it.

 

And then, the winner and the runner-up will go to the Overall Decade thread in which we will list them all from worst to best, #20 to #1.

Here are the 2010 games that I did not play significantly enough or not at all:

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc

Deadly Premonition

Bit.Trip.Runner

Darksiders

Bioshock 2 & Minerva's Den

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

Ghost Trick

Vanquish

Xenoblade Chronicles

Civ 5

Mass Effect 2

MGS Peace Walker

Just Cause 2

 

Damn, I had forgotten that AssCreed Brotherhood and DKCR had came out during that year.

 

Ultimately its got to be between RDR and SMG2. I'm going to go with RDR as my top game of 2010, and SMG2 is the runner-up.

Red Dead Redemption

StarCraft II

 

I'd probably go with Mass Effect 2, StarCraft II being a close runner up and Super Meat Boy in third. That said, I didn't play RDR when it came out and although I played Galaxy I did so almost immediately after playing the first and I didn't last too long into it.

I want people to name two games, their winner and then their runner up.

 

And then I will take all of those games and make a poll out of it, and that way we will find out the winner and the runner-up.

 

And then the winner and the runner-up from each year will go into one thread where everybody decides the best game of the decade, and possibly #2 and #3.

 

The reason why I want a runner-up is because it may be possible that the second-best game from any year is still good enough to be Within Top 5 or Top 3 even.

This already seems kind of messy. Are we doing GOTY, GOTY + runner up, or top 3? Does the ordering matter at all? Is this just a nomination thread?

Easy for me.

 

1) Deadly Premonition

 

2) Mass Effect 2

 

Both launched as 360 exclusives.

 

And then there was Halo Reach, Black Ops with Xclusive content, Splinter Cell Conviction as console exclusive, and Alan wake and DeathSmiles.
