Ike★ 2,922
As always, these games deliver great looking trailers. Not much to gather from the trailer though. There didn't seem to be any gameplay footage at all. It could still definitely be in-engine for Series X but I'll wait and see.

Twinblade★ 3,985
Some in-game screens were released. Not a huge jump over Odyssey visually.
Twinblade★ 3,985
also exclusive to the Epic Store on PC
Casual 743
The setting is cool and intriguing but it's Ubisoft so the game will suck.
Teh_Diplomat 2,054
Was really hoping for a less rural setting than 8th-10th century england, apart from a collection of forts and castles, there isn't really much to climb on, with say Constantinople. Mind you there's not too much we can glean from a cinematic battle video.

Ike★ 2,922
Also, I know they're both sourcing Norse history but that shield and axe look right out of God of War 2018.
Twinblade★ 3,985
IGN has a bunch more details on the game https://www.ign.com/articles/assassins-creed-valhalla-ps5-xbox-series-x-2020-gameplay-story Interesting part is regarding the next gen versions. All they mention is that the load times will be faster....so graphically it'll probably look the same on all platforms.
Remij 4,717
That cinematic was amazing. And visually the game looks great. I love the setting.

kaz 2,445
are these games even about assassinations anymore? I think it's time for a new IP?

It's morphed from a rooftop assassination game, to an RPG with stealth elements over the course of the last several iterations; so it is in effect a new IP; if compared to the original series that launched with @Pat McCrotch's crush, Jade Raymond. jehurey 3,299
So i guess this explains the sailing. You get to travel to other lands, and potentially take them over? But like does that mean that its going to have a really huge ocean in between lands? Take like 2-3 hours to sail to another place, while engaging in naval battles in between?
