The game isn't what a lot of people expected, so there's that.. but it also doesn't help things that there was a controversy about AMD blocking Nvidia's DLSS tech, which definitely alienates a chunk of people. The game being "heavy" and having performance issues made that omission even more unacceptable for players. I was expecting far more than what the concurrent numbers were on Steam. Like, at least double the early access period.. but it barely climbed at all. Word of mouth really stopped it in its tracks. I think there were also quite a bit more GamePass players on PC than I expected as well. Reviews and bad word of mouth likely pushed people to just try it on GP.
