I won't be playing anything for months or close to a year probably, stuck in bumfuck nowhere Montenegro in the middle of endless mountains, imagine Rocky IV's training location without the snow (yet)

There's this one scene in Days Gone that is a perfect example of what the game is and everything wrong with it.

There are cheaper ways to torture yourself. Im pretty sure razor blades go for $1-$2.

Metro 2033 could have been so great. I LOVE the atmosphere and sound design for this game but the gameplay is just awful. the gunplay is some of the weakest ive ever played, it's literally a "pea shooter" and the guns seem to be floaty or whatnot. :(

I don't play many shooters but the gunplay felt no different from the others that I have played on PC. :happysad: It has really bad default FoV though but that can be fixed. Though the guns do sound awful.

setting really does matter. i would rather have a sci fi universe like metroid, halo or deus ex than a generic military setting

of course it does. setting is what made batman aa a god game in the eyes of many. gameplay-wise, it's quite average.

Played a little bit of your level GD, I like the "hidden-behind-objects" platforming bit in the beginning. I made it to the jetpack part, but got stuck and now i have to go in a bit. So, i'll finish it up and rate it later. Just one thing though, can you add some music to it :|:-*

the asylum its set in has its own history, one stretching back to the 1800's. thats why it worked well

i wanted to keep it with very minimalist, using only sound effects... almost an ico-feel. the last 2 puzzles are the hardest. i'm curious as to what you think of them.
