i think the peak was between 2002 -2007. max payne 2 (which looked a gen better than its console counterparts), far cry, hl2, f.e.a.r, doom 3, quake 4, stalker, crysis.... man..that was why i got into pc gaming again (i had one in the mid 90's)

now i'm youtubing scenes. non- spoiler. just badass to watch again. i think i may rewatch the movie. it's been a long time.

if you could only watch one, i'd say go with taxi driver. de niro with a mohawk, keitel as a pimp and a young jodie foster as a prostitute. epic film.

Joker isn’t nearly as good as taxi driver and heat > every movie In the Batman universe. still, I think the critics got it wrong with joker.

they also need to ditch that tank-like gameplay, and make the characters more fluid and agile. gears feels too last gen.

a fantastic platform, if that's your thing. i will always prefer the simplicity of consoles, and their superior exclusives, though.

Day 1

This is valid. It’s definitely not a perfect film. However, I think it resonated with me so much because I have always thought the joker was the best comic book villain. Also, JP killed it! The movie was also incredibly shot. I noticed the film work even more tonight (my second viewing). Each frame captured the atmosphere of Its respective scene, whether it was Gotham’s filthy, urban anarchist playground, or the surreal beauty of the vividly colored madness in Arthur’s head.

the destruction looks so real. it's insane! if they were to soften the edges of the buildings more, and maybe beef up the depth of field, it would look almost like real life. but yeah, this is what 150-200 mph wind gusts look like.
