yeah, after the ROTR fiasco this franchise has been marked by the MSM and an enemy of the playstation brand. they're going to try and belittle this game every chance they get, still.

As I've said before, Forza is from a single franchise with biennial releases of separate IP's.

God of War, The Last of Us 2, Until Dawn, Uncharted 4, Days Gone, Horizon Zero Dawn, The Order: 1886, Detroit Become Human, Knack, Knack II, Infamous Second Son, Death Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima, Shadow of the Colossus, Spiderman, Bloodborne, The Last Guardian etc are not.

These are all Sony owned or published IP's and they're all third person games. There's almost zero diversity in their stable of games, it's all third person. The only first person game they released was 5 years ago when the console launched, none of their games have independent identity..

If you think all those games are the same experience/genre simply because they are in third person then you're a dumbass. How is God of War the same experience as Detroit Become Human and how is Detroit the same as Shadow of the Colossus and how is SOTC the same as Uncharted? Their similarities ends with their camera system. Putting all those games in the same basket based solely one their camera style is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. There's a plethora of different experiences on here.

So basically you'd be happier if Sony simple rehashed Uncharted and GoW every two years as opposed to a bunch of different IPs all bringing their own type of gameplay and flavor to the table. Wow, lmfao.

And you're ignoring everything else that Sony is doing. Until Dawn/Rush of Blood, Ratchet and Clank, Dreams, MLB, Gran Turismo, Drive Club, Everybody's Golf, Gravity Rush, Astro Bot, Wipeout, Firewall Zero Hour. Wow, I guess all those games are the same experience too!

Lmao, MS only dreams of having such a diversified portfolio of games. It's especially comical that this criticism comes from the same fantards who has been hyping the same Halo/Gears/Forza IPs for more than a decade. Get on our level then we'll talk.

It's just safe rinse and repeat and masking it as new IP's. They're not all of the same general formula but that doesn't mean that they're not formulaic.

Spiderman is of the ilk of Infamous, Detroit is of the ilk of Until Dawn, The Last of Us 2 is of the Ilk of Uncharted 4, Ghost of Tsushima is of the same ilk of God of War etc. They're releasing slightly different games formulaically layered and staggering them so they don't 1:1 overlap, but they're all still third person games, they're still formulaic and there's no fucking variety in overarching experience.

They release an Infamous type game, then they release an Until Dawn type game, then they release some forgettable game like MLB or Wipeout, then they release an Uncharted type game, then they release a God of War type game, then they release some obscurity like The Last Guardian, then they repeat the cycle, over and over and over again. It's an illusion of difference in a sea of the same, they've gotten so stuck on what works in almost every scenario that they've almost entirely frozen up and can do or offer little else. They release safe games at every turn, risk no longer exists in Sony's portfolio, trying radically different or new things no longer exists in Sony's portfolio, it's just a bunch of third person hogwash.

You guys suck this sameness cock so hard that you can't even see it anymore, they may all be good games but the variety is fucking non-existent.

I tried to make a quick breakdown of how genres actually works, and it's worth noting that even within the same genre, the experience and gameplay can still be drastically be different. It's the same reason why DOOM doesn't play like CoD despite being the same genre and might appeal to a different crowd. Not to mention one being more SP focused while the other being MP focused.

Action/adventure games:

Bloodborne
God of War

Third person shooters:

The Order: 1886
Uncharted 4
Days Gone
The Last of Us 2

Cinematic story driven games:

Until Dawn
The Inpatient
Detroit Become Human

Open world action games:

Infamous Second Son
Horizon Zero Dawn
Spiderman
Ghost of Tsushima

Platformers/beat em ups:

Knack
Ratchet and Clank
Tearaway
Gravity Rush 2
Astro Bot: Rescue Mission

Racing games (sims and arcade):

Drive Club
Wipeout: Omega Collection

Sports games:

MLB The Show
Everybody's Golf

First person shooters:

Killzone: Shadow Fall
Farpoint
Bravoteam
Firewall Zero Hour
Blood and Truth

Casual/party games:

Hidden Agenda
SingStar
That's You!

Strategy games:

No Heroes Allowed! VR

Rytmnh games:

Patapon
PaRappa The Rapper

Unconventional games:

Little Big Planet
Bound
Dreams
Concrete Genie

Pretentious Japanese trash (lol):

The Last Guardian
Shadow of the Colossus
Death Stranding

Because MS first party games are re-inventing the wheel every time they are making a new game and aren't part of an already established formula! LMAO

It's a reflection on the state of the current video games industry more than anything else. Very few games actually are their own original takes on something now, %99 of releases are built upon the foundations of other similar games before it. It's inevitable, not everything can be revolutionary or super innovative.

And I'll stick take a multitude of IPs covering a few genres over the same rehashed franchises every time.

Probably because Xbox isn't saturated with this stuff. There's nothing inherently wrong with these kinds of games but when they comprise the bulk of what is on your platform its an issue.

So basically "xbox has no games so we need to hype whatever we get" :D

and lets wait and see if this has actually been "upgraded". A week ago you lemshits were convinced that Spider-Man had been downgraded but that wasn't the case.

Camera perspective has nothing to do with diversity

Once every 2 years.. and it's kinda dumb to hate on the one racing franchise (Horizon) which consistently and demonstrably improves itself in both visuals and gameplay with every release.

Seasons do change everything :wow2:
