It only got any kind of recognition becauase of the Halo 3 beta. The second was even worse and less popular. The name alone puts me off. And then I see this garbage gameplay only microsoft could dish out. It's funny tho how anyone could even try to defend this shit. It's actually ridiculous to think that devs work on these projects and deliver complete garbage. They have no respect for themselves. This is basically what the games as a service model is about, it is a glorified mobile gaming infrastructure. MS new model is not about investing in big polished games, that's why they easily cancelled Scalebound, now it is about cheap experiences that barely work and that can hold casuals in subscribing each month to their service. The first one came as a surprise when everyone bought it for the Halo 3 beta, and then they actually liked the game. Then it developed a cult following which then dwindled by the time Crackdown 2 released and it turned out to be the same game but with zombies. The third one is just worse than the first two. I never understood what ppl saw in it other than the 50/50 hit or miss ratio of being a Platinum Games title. It's cancellation was no shock. Plus it's different with first party IPs.
